Our Mission Statement
Serving the needs of Harrison County children has always been the purpose of Sacred Heart Children's Center, Inc. Beginning as a Catholic orphanage in the early twentieth century, it evolved into a public day care center in the 1970s. By early 1980s, it became a volunteer-directed, private foundation accepting funds and granting requests to benefit the children of Harrison County.
The Sacred Heart Children's Center, Inc. celebrated its quarterly meeting, along with family members, at Oral Lake on June 1, 2016 with grant awards to 20 organizations.
